Leisure Tour to Pondy Mahabalipuram

Day 1, Wednesday, 12th Feb: Chennai-Mahabalipuram

Arrival in Chennai between 8.00 am to 9.00 a.m.
We will head to Mahabalipuram.
Visit Shore Temple, Arjuna’s Penance, Panch Rathas, Krishna’s Butterball.
We will check-in into hotel.

Night Stay at Mahabalipuram Hotel.

Day 2, Thursday, 13th Feb: Pondy-Paradise Beach & Pondy Local Sightseeing

Post breakfast, we will head towards Pondicherry via the scenic East Coast Route.
Visit Paradise Beach Island by taking a speed Boat. The backwaters on the way to beach are green & fresh & have thick mangroves.
This is a little isolated & highly sought-after beach.

On a perfectly bright day, you will enjoy various shades of blue stretching to the horizon and beyond.

We will Relax by the beach, enjoy the waves & sip some coconut water.

The sand is extraordinarily soft & grainy and long walk on this beach would be fantastic.

Come back to Pondy.

Visit Ayi Mandapam, rock beach, French Headquarters & few churches.
Check-in into Hotel.

Day 3, Friday, 14th Feb: Drive Pondy-Pichavaram-Chidambaram-Pondy

Post Breakfast, Leave for visiting Chidambaram Temple.

We will cover Pichavaram Mangroves on the way back to Pondy. (The boating in Pichavaram is subject to operation.)

Come back to Pondy by late evening.

Day 4, Saturday, 15th Feb: Drive Pondy-Auroville-Vellore

Check out from the Hotel early in the morning. Visit Auroville.
Auroville (city of Dawn) is an experimental township dedicated to the ideal of human unity based on the vision of Sri Aurbinodo & his Mother, Mirra Alfassa.
People from across the world, irrespective of creed, colour& nationality, work here together to build a Non-religious , cash Free, universal community.
Its focal point is the Matrimandir, a futuristic, spherical temple covered in gold discs.
Move towards Vellore.
Visit Golden temple & Vellore Fort at Vellore.

Day 5, Sunday, 16th Feb: Drive Vellore-Kanchipuram-Chennai

After breakfast, check out & proceed to Kanchipuram.
Visit few temples in Kanchipuram & head back to Chennai.
We will reach Chennai Airport between 6.00 pm to 7.00 pm.

You can plan your return post 7.00 pm.
