Hampi was the capital of renowned kingdom of Vijayanagar Empire of 14th century to 16th century. It was prosperous, wealthy and grand city with numerous temples, trade markets and farms. The Hampi monuments comprising the UNESCO world heritage site are a subset of the wider-spread Vijayanagara ruins. Almost all of the monuments were built between 1336 and 1570 CE during the Vijayanagara rule. The site has about 1,600 monuments and covers 41.5 square kilometres (16.0 sq mi).

Detailed Itinerary:

Day 0, Wednesday:

Leave for Hampi by train from Mumbai by 9.20 pm.

Day 1, Thursday:

Arrival in Hosapete in afternoon by 12.45 pm.

Check in into stay and freshen up.

After lunch, visit few few places in Hampi depending upon time in hand.
Come back to hotel by late evening.

Day 2, Friday:

Post breakfast, proceed for full day sightseeing of Hampi by 8.00 am.
Come back to hotel in late evening.

Day 3, Saturday:

Post Breakfast, check out & proceed to Badami.
Enroute, visit Aihole & Pattadakal.

We will check–in into our stay at Badami.

Post breakfast, check out.
We will do sightseeing in Badami.
Visit Badami Cave Temples.

Post lunch, we will head back to Badami station to take train back to Mumbai.
