Have you ever wondered how it would feel to walk on sheets of Ice? Do you ever wish to experience the thrill of the same?
Then join Tripper Journeys for the much talked about Frozen river Trek which is also known as Chadar trek & is considered as one of the most challenging Himalayan treks.
Chadar is nothing but Zanskar River in a frozen form. In summers, tourists enjoy rafting in the waters of zanskar but in winters, the same river gets frozen due to drop in the temperature to even -30 to -40 degree Celsius during night.
Chadar is a lifeline to Zanksaris as the frozen sheets of Ice connects Zanskaris to the rest of the world. Zanskari people praise the Chadar trail rather than complaining to Almighty for remaining isolated from the rest of the countries, because it gives them an opportunity to spend most of their time with the family and friends, cheering Local butter tea and playing local games during winter.
