Kohoj fort is situated near Palghar and visible from Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway. It stands at a height of 3200 feet above msl. You come across one beautiful lake at its base which is known as Pazher Lake.

Temple of Lord Shankar and Krishna, and idol of Lord Hanuman, few rockcut water cisterns and other ruined structures can be seen on the top of the fort. Apart from this, Kohoj is majorly famous for Man shaped pinnacle on its top. Asheri, Takmak and Tandulwadi forts can be seen from the top of the fort.

7^th July:

• Meet the trek leader at Palghar station between 7.30 am to 8.00 am (For Western line participants, Board 5.24 am Churchgate-Dahanu Local & alight at Palghar @ 7.26 am & Central line participants, Board 5.33 am Dombivali-Boisar Train & alight at Palghar @ 7.49 am)

• After Breakfast , we will move to base village Waghote by our private Vehicle by 8.45 am
• Reach Base Village by 9.45 am
• Start the trek by 10.00 am & reach the top by 1.00 pm ( 2.5-3 Hours one way)
• After exploring the fort & Lunch , we will start descending to base village by 2.30 pm
• Reach base village & move towards Palghar by 5.00 pm
• Reach Palghar Station by 6.00 pm & start the return journey
