We will be taking you to some of the offbeat places in MP major being Orchha, Maheshwar, Mandu.

Orchha means Hidden Place and it stands true to its name. It’s indeed a Hidden treasure nestled on banks of Betwa River.Orchha was the capital of one of the largest & most powerful kingdoms of central India-The Bundelas & was established by Bundela Rajput Chief, Rudra Pratap. This medieval City attracts Tourists from across the world due to its palaces, Cenotaphs (Royal Chhatris) & temples which are rich in architecture & have retained the historic touch to give tourists an insight into its rich past.It is also renowned for Its mural paintings, frescos.

Mandu is another architectural wonder in India. It is an ancient City known for a fort built by Baz Bahadur in the memory of his queen Rani Roopmati. This city is surrounded by stone walls dotted with Darwazas (gateways). The beauty of Mandu is visible in its palaces & monuments. It is indeed rich in History & heritage. The palaces take you back to the era of kings & queens.

Omkareshwar & Mahakaleshwar are 2 jyotirlingas out of 12 Jyotirlingas which we will visiting in this tour.

Maheshwar, the town located on the banks of Narmada River, is also known as ‘Temple Town’ as it possesses treasure trove of Beautiful temples. This peaceful riverside town holds historical, Spiritual & mythological importance & finds its mentions in ‘Mahabharata’ & ‘Ramayana’ under its old name ‘Mahishmati’ & draws pilgrims & sadhus to its ancient Ghats & temples. This was the capital of Rani Ahilyabai Holkar’s province. She moved Holkar capital here from Indore & built palace within Maheshwar’s fort. She transformed this land into a land of tranquillity, peace & prosperity.

Maheshwar is also famous for the production of Maheshwari Sarees & fabrics.

We will move towards Orchha. Reach Orchha Hotel by 3.30 p.m. & check in.
Freshen up & move out to explore Orchha Fort.
Enjoy the Light & Sound Show in evening.
Come back to Orchha Hotel. Dinner & retire for the day.

22nd Nov, Thursday, Day 2: Orccha Sightseeing & move to Jhansi

Leave early in the morning by 7.30 a.m. for exploring rest of the Orchha Fort & surrounding places.
Move towards Jhansi Railway Station to catch train for Ujjain.
Visit to Jhansi Fort, if Time permits.
Board ‘Jhansi-Indore Link Exp, 21801’ Train @ 5.25 p.m.  (12 Hrs Train Journey)

23rd Nov, Friday, Day 3: Explore Ujjain, Omkareshwar & Maheshwar

Reach Ujjain @ 5.45 a.m.
Move to visit one of 12 jyotirlingas, Mahakaleshwar at Ujjain.
Explore the nearby Temples & Move to Omkareshwar to visit the 2nd jyotirlinga of this tour.
Post Lunch, Move towards Maheshwar.
Explore Maheshwar. Visit Ahilya Fort, Rajarajeshwara Temple, Ahilyeshwar Temple.
Spend some time on the banks of Narmada & enjoy the sunset.
Check in at Maheshwar Hotel in late evening.
Dinner & Retire for the day.

24th Nov, Saturday, Day 4:

After Breakfast, we will explore the rest of the Maheshwar & move towards Mandu.
Lunch on the way.
After reaching Mandu, we will explore the central group – Jami Masjid, Hoshang Shah’s Tomb, Ashrafi Mahal & also Visit the Royal Enclave – Jahaz Mahal, Hindola Mahal, Taveli Mahal, Champa Baoli.
Check in at the Mandu Hotel in Late evening.
Dinner & retire for the day.

25th Nov, Sunday, Day 5:

After Breakfast, we would be exploring the rest of the places in Mandu i.e. Eco Point, Jain Temple, Baz Bahadur’s Palace, Roopmati’s Pavilion.
We will move towards Indore Railway Station to take Train back to Mumbai.
