Gwalior is located in central state of Madhya Pradesh in India & is rich with beautiful palaces, temples and mosques giving it a royal and majestic touch which speaks of its glorious history. It was ruled by many dynasties like Tomars, Mughals and Maratha followed by Scindia in 18th Century.

Gwalior holds an unparalleled reputation in music & it is the birthplace of the oldest genre of Hindustani Sangeet- Gwalior Gharana. Legendary musicians like Tansen and Baiju Bawara belonged to Gwalior.

Gwalior has lot to offer in terms of Tourism and is majorly famous for its massive hilltop fort.

Gwalior fort is located on the top of rocky mountain and is also known as ‘Gibraltar of India’. The fort complex is surrounded by walls in red sandstone and fort complex comprises of many palaces and temples. The major and the most beautiful among them are the Man Singh Palace, Sas Bahu Temple, Teli ka Mandir. On the way to fort, you also come across Gopachal hill which holds 1500 idols. There are some intricate and stunning carvings of Jain Tirthankars which are absolutely mesmerizing.

Mitawali is a village where the popular Chausath Yogini Temple lies – The temple is perched atop a hill surrounded by the lush greenery.

Bateshwar temples are a cluster of almost 200 mini grandeurs made of sandstone, devoted to lords Shiva and Vishnu. Spread over 25 acres, these shrines were built across slanted hills near Padavali. The temples were constructed in the 8th to 10th century AD probably during the Gurjara-Pratihara Dynasty.

The notable Padavali fortress was built in the 18th century by the Jat Ranas rulers of Dhaulpur. The fort also has a temple that once served as a divine place to worship Lord Shiva.
